Something effective should be done about cyber criminals.

Everyone makes mistakes. I'm sure there are other athletes across all sports who have done or currently do drugs. I'm not sure what the rules were then, but one has to give him credit for stepping up and saying something about it now (he sure didn't have to). I wish him the best and absolutely think both Andre and Steffi deserve Hall of Fame.

First off, shark liver oil also has been shown to be beneficial in cancer treatment http://www.ehow.com/about_5494364_benefits-shark-liver-oil.html so I see no fear of injecting it into the human body that already produces squalene when synthesizing cholesterol among other things. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squalene.

It's sad how many are led to believe conspiracy theories like the Illuminati crap and then risk their lives and others over mythology. And those that do not understand evolution and how viruses work would obviously not understand why this vaccine was not ready on time. I think education is far better than fear mongering.

I watched this evening as well and thank you for some information about the H1N1 Shot, but still I feel not enough information out there. I am still somewhat confused about this shot. I am not a high risk person that needs to have the shot. Just still concerned about all of this. I am going to see my doctor on Tuesday and hope to get more answers.

As a high risk person, I received the H1N1 shot last week as well as the regular seasonal shot. I had no reaction at all to the H1N1 but the seasonal shot left me with a sore arm & I immediately felt a bit ill.

60 Minutes has missed a major source of the fraud in the health care industry. Their story forgot the major corporate cheaters.
As the Taxpayers Against Fraud website (taf.org) makes chillingly clear, some of America’s most best known and most trusted healthcare industry corporations are heading up the list of cheaters whose conscienceless manipulation of federal health dollars has resulted in convictions or financial settlements with Uncle Sam.
Some appalling examples from the TAF “Top 20” list:
No. 1 Fraud Offender: Pfizer -- $1 billion under the False Claims Act.
Pfizer paid a total of $2.3 billion, of which $1.3 billion was a criminal fine for kickbacks and off-label marketing and $1 billion was paid under the False Claims Act.... Read More
No. 2 Fraud Offender: Tenet Heathcare -- $900,000,000 under the False Claims Act. In July 2006, Tenet Healthcare agreed to pay the Federal Government $900 million for billing violations that included manipulation of outlier payments to Medicare, as well as kickbacks, upcoding, and bill padding.
No. 3 Fraud Offender: HCA -- $731,400,000 under the False Claims Act.
In December 2000, HCA The Healthcare Company (formerly known as Columbia HCA), the largest for-profit hospital chain in the United States, pled guilty to criminal conduct and agreed to pay more than $840 million in criminal fines, civil penalties and damages for unlawful billing practices.
No. 4 Fraud Offender: Merck - $650,000 under the False Claims Act.
In January of 2008, Merck settled the very first nominal pricing fraud case in which the company was accused of taking kickbacks and violating Medicaid best price regulations for Vioxx (an arthritis drug), Zocor (a cholesterol drug), Pepcid (an acid-reflux drug), Cozaar (a hypertensive medication), Fosamax (a bone loss drug) Maxalt (a migraine medication) and Singulair (an asthma medication).

Of the top 100 corporate cheaters over half come from the health care industry.

None of these corporate leaders went to prison. They just paid the fine. These corporations should not treated different from the cheaters in the 60 minure program. There is something wrong with this picture.

Chip, I hear ya. Very eye opening. The problem with our government is that once you find a way to cheat the system, you can cash in becuase the fed is not flexible enough to adapt. It takes an act of congress to upgrade software!

The entire program, as diverse as it was, was educationally stimulating. Great 60 minutes.

The cancer story looks so promising it would be nice to have this machine working yesterday , good hope.:)

This was an interesting show. I'd never realised there was a problem like this with coal ash, just knew it as slag tips in Wales that ended up as mudslides when it rained

Red Cross is a great idea, thanks Bella and Jani. The lesson here is to respect the older and wiser folks in our communities. I am always amazed by oral traditions and history.
