My prayers go out to all the victims and their families. I am numb all over. As an ex-military man, this is truly sickening!

This is not good for Arabs wanting not to be scrutinized for joining US Armed forces.

I am in prayer with the families of the 12 dead and 31 wounded today at the US Army Post in Fort Hood, Texas. I am very sad about this horrible news to lose our fellow Soldiers in peace. Why is a guy like this allowed in the military? He was quoted making statements against the war (not surprise there he is one of them) and he freaked out when he was told that he was going there. If you join the military is because you want to be a soldier, and “hello”, soldiers go to war! We should do a better job screening these people.... and yes, profile the hell out of them!

this is soo.. sad, the shocking part is one minute a mother on the phone with her daughter the next minute the mother gets a call back from a doctor saying her daughter was shot in the back

Terrorists are here and they are waging war like they promised. Nobody is paying attention, we need to be alert!

Surely, let's use the event to further fuel xenophobia and racism toward one another. When in the US, guns and violence are the predominant mode of thought and business. Backed up by money and enhanced by the pharmaceutical industry.

What we need is simple: EDUCATION.
