Great topic for discussion with all those involved in therapy & rehabilitation. It is always so important to look at the WHOLE PICTURE. Potential & success for meeting (and exceeding)that potential is always determined by the individual. It reminds me of the old cliche "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink". However, NEVER ... Read Moreunderestimate the power of your own energy to effect & motivate others.
What I have found to be the greatest motivator to others is to live by example - staying centered & balanced for all those around me (my family, my clients, my community) - staying true to myself & always striving for authenticity & honesty...always learning.
Best of luck to you in your studies - it is questions like these that will keep you learning & ultimately make you a better P.T.
