As a retiree, lifetime Union member, born and raised in a Union house, where we lived the "good life" thanks to our Unions, I am proud of AFSCME and their continued efforts fighting for equality and human dignity and rights in our country. Sadly, ignorance is making folks fail to see they are shooting themselves in the foot to swallow the anti-health care reform propaganda. Such a basic lack of understanding of the truth of what is really going on only proves the sad state of education and affairs in our country. It is so easy to prey on ignorance and fear....The time for change is long, long overdue. Progress always takes time. It WILL happen and those crying now I promise will be the first to sign up when reform makes life kinder and fair - not a doubt in my mind.

Correction: 6 teachers and an AFSCME 685 member, Irene Gonzalez which is a probation officer are reframing the state budget discussion with this historic march. What began as a march became a "Journey for Justice."

Maybe they were inflating the reality of the situation just to pass legislation which they knew would not be popular with the majority of Americans. Seems to be this administrations way of doing everything. If you trust this administration and the progressive movement, then you are a fool!
