AFSCME Health care reform passes the House. From the AFL-CIO blog: "There’s still a long way to go, but today is a great day for the country and a big step toward a health care system that works for everyone."

Source: blog.aflcio.org
This is what progress looks like. Tonight, by a 220-215 vote, the U.S. House has passed a historic health care reform bill that will improve the nation’s health care system, covering millions of uninsured and making insurance work better for those who have it.

Hold everybody accountable! If they voted "No", then they have to go!!!

As a progressive, I'm as disappointed in Obama as Mr. Biff Hause is. The problem is, he still is 100% better than having a neocon in office! Let's try to get him in line, rather than blow the chance for real change (once again). I would hate to see another Republican president in 2012!

AFSCME URGENT: The House is debating historic health reform legislation right now. Will your representative vote for quality, affordable health care for all Americans, or will they vote for the status quo? Make your voice heard and call now!

This is what health reform looks like. Call your Member of Congress right now and demand that they stand for real reform and the middle class by voting YES on the Affordable Health Care for America Act.

worst part is that instead of having a discussion as brothers and sisters...those who follow mainline democrats are antagonistic and attacking towards those who aren't drinking the "blue" kool-aid. And even though I'm an independent...people think that I'm a republican, which pisses me off too...I hated bush, and since there hasnt been much change... Read More in how things are run in the white house...we basically changed from a texas oil gangster, to a chicago politician. I'm just happy I'll be paying more and more taxes that I can't afford ! Awesome !

I saw this coming. Now that the insurance cartel is openly extorting US citizens by threatening to raise premiums even further, it's time to dump all legislation that's not single-payer health care for all. We can't afford to pay protection money to this greedy industry [racket] any longer. "Medicare for all" didn't break any of the other countries, and they have less money than the US.
