It can actually be kind of scary to get tested, it feels like waiting to hear a death sentence in a way... because if it is yes, then what? I do it anyways, but I can understand why people would be too afraid to know.

i dont think its the death sentence that keeps people from getting tested, in the US at least theres still a huge stigma attached to testing, ppl are terrified of admitting the things they do that put them at risk of being HIV+ the "shame" of admitting you need the test in the first place turns alot of ppl off. uggh, im not articulating this argument very well...i hope it makes sense.
