Whoooooo......... carb overload!

What's up ALC Riders? This is my third ALC ride, my wife's 10th ride and her broster’s 4th ride. Our son Andrew is trying to pull it together for next year’s ride after being inspired by last month’s Baby Dragon ride here in Southern California. 39 cyclists and hundreds of donors raised over $83,000 for Crystal Meth Recovery, Youth and Mental Health Services at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.

While riding the Baby Dragon I was brainstorming for ALC fundraising ideas and came up with something pretty creative.

I am experienced with both buyers and sellers and have closed deals on homes, condos and multi-unit investment properties from Santa Monica to Los Feliz, Hancock Park to the Valley and everything in between.

I believe that people want to donate to a good cause but tough economic times make it hard for many. I see this as a great way for people to help that may not otherwise have the means to do so. Not buying or selling right now but still want to help, pass this on to someone you know who is buying or selling – this is guaranteed to bring you good karma points.

For all of you first time home buyers out there the government has just extended the credit through April 30th of 2010, with a 60-day extension if a binding contract is in place prior to the deadline. First-time home buyers will continue to receive a tax credit of up to $8,000, while existing homeowners will receive a reduced credit of up to $6,500. Existing homeowners will be eligible for the $6,500 if they have lived in their current residences for at least five years. The bill H.R. 3221 will also increase the qualifying income limits from $75,000 for single tax filers and $150,000 for joint filers, to $125,000 and $225,000, respectively. The purchase price of the home is capped at $800,000.
