AIGA Chicago
"Designing New Roles" focuses on the balance that must ensue when designers pursue creative endeavors that extend beyond their traditional specialties. This balance is realized when someone begins to take on new roles, such as those of photographer, illustrator, or typographer. Often times these new roles serve not onl...y as labors of love, but also as paths to future opportunities. Tonight's panel of speakers includes young designers who have found ways to integrate their varied passions into their professional work. Designers who can also be called photographers, illustrators and typographers will share their stories and work, while shedding light on the possibilities that surround them. Short presentations will be given by each panel member and will be followed by a discussion moderated by Steve Ryan.
