ARA Safety Unfortunately, with fall and cold weather come more fires. This morning in southern British Columbia, one family was lucky that their local fire department was FIT equipped. What could have been a dangerous and devastating basement fire was knocked down with a FIT, leaving fire crews to overhaul quickly with little water and causing little damage.
ARA Safety Two FITs deployed in 100 yr old bar knocked fire down, bought 15 minutes, and prevented flame spread to neighboring buildings. “Within 1 minute we saw all visible flames disappear and smoke turn to white; it was truly amazing”, said responding Fire Chief Long.
ARA Safety Two FIT deployments in New Jersey this week. One in Mount Tabor and one today in Piscataway. In both cases, the property was spared significant damage. We will post more details and photos as they come in.
