America's Wild Spaces takes you to America's greatest parks.

Eric Campbell Okay, I've been asleep, apparently. What documentary is this? What channel was it on? Maybe I can find an encore presentation?

Laurie Potteiger Want to experience the A.T. in a really intimate way and meet other people who are passionate about the Trail? Volunteer! www.appalachiantrail.org/volunteernow.

Tom I wish the documentory spoke more about the Smoky Mountains and not the fact that the water is poluted with acid rain; which it is. I love the Smokies alot. Mt Cammerer, Mt LeConte, Chimnies, Grado Falls, Rainbow Falls, Greenbriar Forest (most of which are not directly on the AT, but still wonderful sights).

Brad Wender I was at Walasi-Yi a couple of weeks ago while looking at leaf color in the N Ga mtns. It was nice the show mentioned the facility, but it sure provides a much greater experience than the show suggested. The building was built in the early 1930's by the CCC, and because of it's stone construction, Im sure it will be around to see it's 100th anniversary.

Appalachian Trail Conservancy For those of you inspired to head out on the A.T. after viewing last night's film, here is the third installment of The Lure of the Long Trail: Planning a Thru-Hike. Or visit trailspace.com an ATC partner and supporter. Enjoy!

In the third of four columns on planning a thru-hike, Triple Crowners — hikers who have completed the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, and Continental Divide Trail (that’s nearly 8,000 miles of trail) — offer advice to first-time thru-hikers on how to stay safe and have fun.

Toby Grapner I'm Jazzed! It was great to see from above. My time will come.

James Pierce It makes me want to get my gear together and get back out there! It won't be long!

Doug Jacobson I'm now even more excited about doing a through hike once the kids are done with school.

Appalachian Trail Conservancy hopes everyone enjoyed the show last night! We certainly did! What did you think?

Aaron Fussell
Loved the Documentry. My thru hike is the summer of 2012. Me and my best friends. Just some good ol' florida boys going north. CANT WAIT WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Johnny Longo watched it on on demand it was awsome to see air shots like that

Lauren LOVED IT! I would have watched a few more hours of it. :) It's a lot to cram into one hour, but it was very well done. I love the shots of it from the air. So... when does it come out on DVD???

Kerry Snow Great show! Kudos to Laurie and the rest of the ATC gang. Really nicely done. I saw Todd's name mentioned as well, but didn't see the man himself...maybe in the sequel...Revenge of the AT ;-)
