Hi Jabulani - Why not move your business account to Absa? You can check out our offerings online here: www.absa.co.za/absacoza/content.jsp?/Home/Business. Obviously, the service is excellent, and we have other advantages as well – like The Absa Small Business Support Centre, offering advice on any SME-related issues; and some great Business Internet Banking options that can be integrated with your existing systems; among other things.

Hi Thabo - You can collect your Western Union transfer at a number of Absa branches around the country. To find the nearest branch with Western Union facilities, visit www.absa.co.za/absacoza/content.jsp?/Home/Personal/Banking-with-Us/Western-Union/Branches. Don’t forget to bring your ID book and the transfer control number you would have received. If you have any problems, give our International Banking helpdesk a call, on 0860 151 151.

Hi Theuns - Unfortunatley, under the terms of FICA, you do need to be present at the branch to open an account with Absa. However, any French bank will be able to do a Forex transaction, to any South African bank. Let us know if you need any more assistance on this.
