Attention all Academic Treks Facebook fans… The Academic Treks Photo Contest has officially begun! Find your best photos from your Academic Treks program and submit them for a chance to win an Underwater Digital camera, cold hard cash and the chance to have your picture posted on the Broadreach or Academic Treks Websit...e! You must read the following rules before submitting any photos. Yes, you who wants to skip to the end, please read all the details!
Who is eligible: The Photo Contest is open to ALL past students and staff of any Broadreach or Academic Treks program.
Divisions: You must enter your images in one of the following divisions – Broadreach or Academic Treks – and must post to the appropriate Facebook page. Any photos inappropriately posted will be disqualified.
Categories: You must enter each image in one of the categories listed below. The same photo cannot be entered in more than one category. If you wish to move a photo to another category after you have uploaded it, simply change the caption to reflect the new category.
Important: Each photographer may enter a maximum of 5 shots total!

How to Enter:
1) Upload up to 5 photos to the appropriate fan page photo sections.
2) Photo captions must accompany all submissions and should include the category for submission, location the image was taken, trip code, and name of the photographer. (i.e. Culture/Nature/Underwater, The Blue Hole-Belize Cayes, DS21, Evalina Eagle)
3) Deadline: Dec. 20th! What are you waiting for? Get going!
Prizes and How to Win:
1) The photos will be judged via a voting system. The photo with the MOST “likes” will be the winner in that category.
2) Hint: Doesn’t hurt to invite your friends and family to visit our fan pages and “like” your photos! Don’t forget to tell them how to find your photo. Also, they’ll need to become a fan to vote.
Prizes: Each winner will receive $50 in cash PLUS a $250 discount off a 2010 Broadreach or Academic Treks Adventure! There will be one winning photo in each category. This means you have multiple chances to win! We will be awarding one grand prize – an underwater camera – to the photo with the most “likes”.
*Limit one discount per photographer per trip.
Remember, deadline is Dec. 20th and winners will be announced on Dec. 21st.
