Which model tends to best handle cold weather/snow for Texas??

The ECMWF is generally more accurate than the GFS though no models have a really good track record beyond 4 days out. The NMM is the preferred short-term model - unfortunately it doesn't forecast until 4 days out.

Last week too,but I was driving.It docks in Pompano Beach Florida,about 20 min. from me

Saw that to, Hope Joe isn't being to bullish, He does have point though, So far this early winter the models have pushed the storms east in the beggining only to have them come back farther west in the end. Not sure what to make of this particular storm. I for one am hoping for a crushing snowstorm here in Central R.I on Sunday night. So far 6 inches of snow for the season where I live
