No Susan Boyle Syndrome By You in 2010!
In 2010, here is your challenge:
* Don’t judge potential employees on how they look, give them a challenge to see how they perform;
* Looking for a new supplier, then don’t judge on their size until you see the quality of their work;
* When a customer comes in, spend time with them a...nd don’t pre-judge
what size cheque they will write or they won’t write one made out to
you;
* When your son/daughter bring home their new ‘friend’, then judge them on how happy they make them.

This is the first year I have blogged and to be honest, I quite enjoy expressing my feelings. It can be quite cathartic and other times I can just rant! But more often when I rant, you guys don’t love it or make comments.

Active Management Last week I did some training with a health club on marketing. Today while surfing Facebook, I see an ad for them here. I just love it when clients listen and then act. Well done Team!

With Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn we can remember names of people because they are on the screen in front of us. But what happens when we do face to face networking? How can we remember people’s names?

Today I traveled to Melbourne and worked with Genesis Fitness, one of Australia’s leading health club chains. At the request of my good friend Greg Oliver, the CEO, my role was to simply challenge their thinking on social media and internet marketing.

Many people see working out as a chore? Even entering a gym is like entering a torture chamber. But we all love amusement parks, so consider each piece of equipment a ride.

This summer or New Year, if you are fully prepared then your gym membership will not be wasted. Join a gym when you are ready to use the membership not because of a drunken promise you made to a friend, as this motivation will last less than your New Year hang over!
