Shecky, we had a bit of a rattle in our steering column of the MDX, the dealer kept the car all day to find it. They don't like those pesky rattles as much as I don't either.....I was impressed at their concern about locating it. Have you talked with yours?? Just a suggestion....

I know this may sound like normal wear and tear but I think my brakes are defective. There is a scratching sound coming from the rear area of my car. I went to get it checked out at the dealership. The service tech I spoke with told me that this is normal for the TSX to do this (its been like this since they came out i...n 04 --- he told me he had one in 06 that did it as well). He came and asked me if I drive with two feet( weird I know --- its not a manual). Then he came and told me that I need new rear brakes which not not normal bc they usually do not need to be replaced til 45-50k. I have 23k on my car now!

i had the scratching and had to replace the brakes in the car at 15,000 miles...i put up a stink and the dealer paid for it...

I got the dealership to pay for the labor and I paid for the pads. They said the pad they use is softer to eliminate the squeaking noise from previous years. But they will wear faster because of it.

Anna Monzon I've had the 2009 TSX for a year now (black on black) and I love it! The only issue I've had with it were the strips of molding on the sides of the windshield. They started coming off about 4 months after I got the car, but Acura fixed them and I haven't had any problems since. Great car!

front speakers, back speakers... YES!! The Acura service manager here does not even bother listening anymore; if a customer complains, they just replace them. I have had three replaced.

I have had to have my driver door speaker replaced too. Im pretty sure the passenger door speaker is busted now, just to lazy to bring it in.

yes; you need to know that Acura issues a TSB on that recently; it is a common problem! The software gets updated and a knock sensor gets replaced. It is TSB #09-041 issued on October 9, 2009.
