AlaskaSoftball.com First Anchorage Sports winter meeting was last night. Found out that Cartee 5 & 6 had their infields reworked before the end of the season and their home plate and bases moved back about 5 feet, should make them much nicer to play on and it makes C5 our biggest field at the Cartee complex.

AlaskaSoftball.com Laurie Doughty, from Elmendorf, pitched the USArmed Forces-Women to a 27-1 win over Quiet Storm in the first round of the 2009 ASA National Championship Finals gining up just three hits in a mercey rule shortened game. She also went 3-4 with 3 rbi's at the plate.

players from Alaska ASA teams competed at the Armed Forces Men's and
Women's Championships in Florida Sept. 19-25. Tech. Sgt. Cody Hynes and
Master Sgt. Laurie Doughty, both from Elmendorf AFB, played during the
tourney and both Air Force teams won Gold.

The Air Force men's and women's softball teams earned gold medals at the Armed Forces Slow-Pitch Softball Championships Sept. 25 at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla. The Air Force women's team went 6-3 during the tournament and won their third Armed Forces title in three years. They

AlaskaSoftball.com The Alaska Women's teams faced a lot of rain and some good competition in Salem for the 2009 Hooters ASA Women's Class D Slow Pitch West Championships in Salem, Oregon. Team Alaska/Jaxx went 1-2 and Geico was 0-2, both are Anchorage teams.

AlaskaSoftball.com Today is the deadline to get your Men's C/D/E teams in this weekend's "Still time to win one" tourney. Open rosters but they have to be from your teams level or below. If you are D and want to pick up C players you have to play C. No B players allowed.
