Not too many realize that the Public Insurance Option does not kick in until 2013(House) or 2014(Senate)? There is no plan to reverse the rapacious increase in premiums over the last decade. Another 4-5 yrs without competition offered by PO, premiums will go up another 50-60%. On top of that House hurriedly passed a Me...dicare payment increase bill (HR3961) which will cost $245B. Big premium hit on John Q Public but plenty for "not in the poorhouse" Doctors.
Democratic members of Congress talk in a heart wrenching manner about the suffering masses and in Obama's words "fierce urgency of now". Seems like urgency is no longer fierce and "can wait until tomorrow". Another 225,000 people will die in these five years for lack of access to Insurance. This situation should be treated like a national emergency on par with Katrina or California Wildfires.Read More
