I feel so bad for these folks knowing I have to get with the program; and if I do or don't; only the Lord knows what my future holds. I'm scared about my kidney since I only have one....confused about the lab tests I just had but from what I understand, my kidney is on the borderline and has stayed the same for a year....so I have to get busy and ... Christine Goodwin
Hi everyone -I am blessed to be a kidney transplant recipient for 19.5 years. I am pursuing my doctorate at St. John's U. & am researching how colleges and universities serve individuals like ourselves with chronic illness. I was first diagnosed and received my transplant when I was in High School. I need your help. I am looking for a "few good" college students(either undergraduate or graduate/law students) to take a survey to share their experiences of what it like to go to college and live with a chronic illness. Please go to http://irsurveys.stjohns.edu/4/GoodwinSt udent/ to complete the survey. After you complete the survey you may enter your e-mail address for a drawing for a Barnes and Noble gift card. Your opinions are vital and important to this research and will help to pave a better road for those who enter college in the years to come. Please pass this on to other college students who could also share their experiences of going to college with a chronic illness. Thanks.

Beverly Henson Hamblin I'm looking on line to try to figure out what's going on with the only kidney I have left. I lost my right kidney to cancer in May of 2008; now the Doc says my left kidney is failing due to my diabetes and high blood pressure...where do I turn, what do I do, I'm scared and depressed and I have no willpower if I knew what to do. I'm the only parent my boys have left. Their Dad died of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy last year...I don't want to leave them alone.
