I'm sorry my baby is sad, I wish I could make you feel better, but I know I can't. It's normal to look at pics, listen to music and want to cry. And crying is o'k, it's a release thing. It's not a sign of weakness, it's normal and sometimes a good cry makes you feel better. Your eyes look like crap, but your head and heart are better! And he'll be home soon and you'll have this first seperation behind you and the next one will be easier. I LOVE YOU

the tears and saddness you feel...is normal like she said...but is also a true sign that you love your husband... hang in there..all will be fine and the reunite will be a blast...

I eat chocolate or play games on the internet. There are good days and bad days. Do whatever makes you feel better to get over those tough ones.

once your soldier goes to transporation- they will set up a time for the movers to come out... and generally you can't get put on the base housing list until you have cleared your current duty station and signed out on leave to go to the new base. Call Fort Polk housing office and as them what their policy is...

My SIL taught her 11 year old son all about this today(more than he has known before) and he called his uncle today and told him he loved him adn said thanks. Out of all the messages he got and people that offered thanks that is the one that meant the most to us both. She is ex-military dont know if that had anything to do with it or not.

I convinced the VFW (last time my husband was deployed) to buy and send an artificial tree. I got the thirty five dollar one from walmart. It already had lights on it. It was a small fundraiser for them. The VFW auxiliary (i.e. the women) sometimes makes home made ornaments too.

trees for troops is sending out a bunch of REAL christmas trees to troops overseas...I also sent my husband a little articifical one last year..

My husband has done it all, marines/ NG/ army (enlisted and officer), and I think I saw him less in the NG then any other time! It very much depends on his job. Please feel free to friend me and ask any questions you have. No promises I have an answer, but at least I've been there. If he can to get into the ADSW system (essentially means he's full time reserve at your close armory) you'll have him home most often that way.

I had to call and verify our information because I had put in MY ssn instead of my husband's (forgot I wasn't on AD any more...lol..) and I was told there will be three separate gift disbursements (dates are in the email) and you will need the codes given to you to use them. They said they don't have information on amounts yet, but you will be able to use them at KMart as well as Sears, online and in person.

I never changed my residency. Still have Oklahoma license and Oklahoma License plate. I pay taxes in the state where I earn money, but there isn't any state taxes in Washington.
