Paul, what is going on here? I am just checking this page for the first time in a while and it seems like you have turned it into your own personal sounding board. Why?

sounding board or not, your post have been informative and beneficial. I cant believe that other artist or the 16,000 plus fans of this page have not contributed, or commented. AP did inspire me so I have been soaking this all up like a sponge, sad that it bothers some people and the momentum does not continue until next AP..guess the party is over

.....we used to have a coffee cup that had a picture of Santa Claus on it - every time I saw it, it bothered me enough - I just wanted to break it, and rid it from my life. Then one day I decided to face those silly issues. I chose it as my favorite cup (even though it was'nt) , and drank from it every day. It eventually grew on me, and I began to like my Santa Claus cup very much.

one quick note...due to cutting funding for the arts in MI last year the artists legal defense fund has all gone away. The other party in the lawsuit is from TN and that state has public funding in legal defense for artists and thus that party has a financial advantage. Both states require residency for access to the legal funding. In this interview John also talks about how artist can protect themselves via copyright and addresses some common myths in protection.

how about setting up a face book group or fan page that will allow people to add comments and to post pictures etc.? Can be more interactive with the family and have a wider reach.

It is so great that more artist's works are living out in the world as a result of ArtPrize; I am a fan from across the country after having watched the evolution of the whole event online this year.
Maybe my own art work will actually be in the event one year!
