Mona Thompson hello thanksgiving was great , no cheats here ,turns out that low carb Pumkin pie was not needed had one slice was to sweet for me so rest was thrown out no lost this week but I feel great . one more hoilday and then it is uphill from there :)

for those starting, a little piece of advice that I have learned the hard way :-)
I keep a magnet with note paper on the fridge and as I am cooking, I write the carbs as I go so I dont forget anything. I realize how many 'hidden' carbs there are, things I didnt think to add to my carb count initially. It helps me keep b...etter track.
I cook on Sunday and get my breakfast 'quiche' ready for work as well as cooking 2 main dishes that I have for lunch and dinner during the week. This way I plan my carbs and know when I can have a coffee (sweetner) or Amber Lyn chocolate. I also keep a big batch of SF Jell-o made in the fridge

Jackie Williamson I have allowed about 10-12 pounds to creep back on me....I work out about six days a week but I have had some issues in my life that have caused me to dealing with some depression. Something I have actually battled with for a while, but I have let it get ahold of me and so alot of my time at home is very low activity......I sleep and lay around when I really shouldn't (but find it a way to cope!) So I really believe that has contributed to some extra weight on me. And that doesn't help me feel better!! What should I do to kick it back into gear for me? I feel like I need to go into induction and jolt my system..is this the right way to go?

Jen Nelson Success!! As I wrote on Thanksgiving, I blew it, ate what I usually do in my carbing days and went through 2 days of carb hangover on Friday and Saturday. Got back on track Friday and am back in ketosis now and even back to losing weight (down 12.4 pounds in 3 weeks). It's the first time ever I've"cheated" and got back... on track. I won't do this again on Christmas, but it was a good experience because I know how committed I am now. I never have fallen off and gotten right backon the horse before!

Deana Powers ok, just needed somewhere to write this! I just went all through the friendlys menu online, and decided upon what I was getting. then i wanted to check myself, so i looked through the nutritional info, and what I choose (monterey jack chicken with broccoli) was less then EVERYTHING else on the menu. even the sirloin! *...patsback* I may even have a scoop of SF vanilla with almonds and whipped cream. If I did, that would bring my whole meal to 14 carbs. (I doubt I will end up with the ice cream, cause a) its freezing in south florida today, and b) I wont have room for it when Im done with my meal! I think I am going to ask them to put cheddar and bacon on my broccolli and bring a side or sour cream too!

here I am on day 6 and still not fully in ketosis only half way?? I am
little confussed as I have really kept to the plan closely....however I
have lost 7 pounds. I have a large amount of weight to lose so its
really important to me to reach ketosis...what could be wrong? Also
yesterday for no reason what so ever ...I
s...pontaneously got really sick while try eat and brought up -then got
diherhea before that I had been constipated. Could it be that I am
still ajusting to the diet??
