Cheong Chong Weng Just gotten my onkyo tx-nr807. Set it up this morning. I noticed that the audyssey in my audio adjust option is greyed out and i cannot select it. What are the posiible causes please? I suspect that it is perhaps due to my first callibration being not fully completed? Thank you.

I'm loving it. Works well with my 2 Klipsch RW-12d subs in the 1 in 2 out configuration. The Bass is smooth down to around 25Hz which is the bottom end for these subs and the sofa shakes when it should. Definitly worth it if you are dealing with 2 subs or some gnarly room issues.

Some best practices to anyone using MultEQ:
1.) Use a camera tripod stand for your microphone, the mic will fit the screw thread. DO NOT put the mic on the seat cushion or near any other wall or boundary.
2.) Take as many measurements as MultEQ will allow--the more the better.
3.) Start in the primary listening locati...on for position 1 and then move out from there in concentric circles. Keep spacing around 1-2 ft.
4.) Do not think of measurements as seating locations. You are capturing data about the room, so you may put the mic in front of your couch where your ears aren't going to be, always keep the mic at ear height.
5.) Avoid measuring too far to the left or to the right of the room, including off-axis seating locations (see above)--localize the measurements around the primary listening location.
If you follow these steps you will see a dramatic improvement in MultEQ room correction. Trust me ;)

Aaron Smith Anyone using Dynamic Volume? How do you like it? Does it really tame commercials? I can't stand loud commercials, I have an Onkyo 606 and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to a 607...

Petr Zizka

Petr Zizka Thanks Audyssey. Just bought Denon 1910 and my really-first impression is exciting. ...the surround speakers came alive:)) maybe too much for this moment but need some time to used to it:)

Will there be some type of logo on the door after our IMAX is upgraded? Or maybe you could post locations as the roll out begins.

Justin

Justin Quick question...When I run the MULTEQ auto-setup and set Audyssey as the Room EQ, the green light indicates Audyssey is on. When I make an adjustment to like the center channel db and the light turns red, Audyssey is still on, correct? The red light just letting me know I've altered the auto-setup perimeters?

Justin, yes, the red light is just there to tell you that you made a change to one of the parameters. MultEQ is still on. You should only worry if the light turns off :-)
