Presented in association with KGSR 107.1 and BookPeople the Austin Chronicle Short Story Contest gives writers an opportunity to show what they've got by crafting the funniest, most touching, scary, beautiful, or strange story that they can to win cash ...prizes and a chance to be published in the Austin Chronicle!
Here are a few guidelines:
Submit Your Manuscript To:

Submissions must be postmarked by December 15, 2009. Prizes:
$1,500 to be divided among the five winners
The winning manuscript will be published in the February 12, 2010 issue of The Austin Chronicle
Rules:
1. Your work must be unpublished, typewritten, and must be no more than 2,500 words.
2. All entries must be accompanied by a separate cover letter, which contains the name, address, email address, and phone number of the author, as well as the title of the story.
3. The author's name must not appear anywhere in the manuscript.
4. Only one entry per person.
