When I attended the National Autism Conference they announced that the numbers were 1 in 91.I bought a t shirt at a reduced rate because the number was wrong.Either way,I pray with all of you.My son Joshua is 7 years old,non verbal and in diapers. We are constantly fighting for services for him.Because of inappropriate school placement,I have been ... See Morehomeschooling him since the begin of June.I understand about the behaviors and challenges.Josh had to been hospitalized early Oct after his behaviors turned violent towards us.He is currently taking some meds that help with his aggressiveness and anxiety.Joshua was diagnosed at 2.I know that there is help and answers out there and I will continue to fight for him.Don't give up,we can all do this.Remember that these children are definitely sent to us to teach us.God does have a plan.Stay strong.

In some ways I feel blessed that my 3.5 year old daughter is a high functoning autistic child. I hear about the myriad of horror stories facing parents with severly autistic children, my heart goes out to all of you. It is not always a picinic raising any child on the spectrum, but our love, empathy, and dedication getsd us through regardless.....as it must, for our children's sake. Prayer is good, but to what God? Allah, Buddah, Odin, Tree spirits, ?????
