The economic downturn has hit the northern areas of our province hard. The forestry, mining and gas industries are suffering huge. The understanding out there is that if the NDP win this election, many of the big players in these industries will pull out of BC....and we all know what that means to jobs and the future economic growth of the northern... Read More half of the province. As it stands, there are some great projects planned and in the making in this area..the container port in Prince Rupert and container site in Prince George...the HWY 16 construction from Prince to Prince..the gas, oil and mining projects.....and so much more...all these projects will bring substantial growth and development to the the north..all together this brings healthy economic stability to the Province as a whole. The future development of projected mining along hwy 37 all depends on the development of the Northwest Power Transmission Line...aJOBS JOBS JOBS! Keep BC Strong....not go backwards!

This is just another perfect example of why BC can't afford to have an NDP government in power! NDP = devastating job losses right across the board. Natasha..you said 'exactly' what I was just going to... You know, about a week ago, a picture of Carole James was printed on the front page of one of our local 'free' papers up here (Prince George)...she had her mouth wide open and I thought to myself: 'How appropriate is this shot?! Her mouth wide open and nothing intelligent coming out of it..!!' LOL

Weasel Weasl Weasel.. good to see the NDP hasn't changed. This group may be less corrupt ( don't know yet because they haven't had a chance to fleece my wallet yet) However that sad stupid comments, being so far out of the loop on policy etc makes me worried about them even as an opposition party. Time to reinvent the NDP, clean house and get the leaders replaced. Right now they couldn't even run a Sunday church bake sale let alone a Province in my opinion..
