BRING thinks 2010 is the Year to Reuse it! Here's to a year with unanticipated delights, unlooked for treasures and unexpected wonders--all the things you'll find at BRING.

BRING read a fun article about Pat and Allen Burton renewing their vows in the Chapel of Second Chances.
www.registerguard.com
It was 1984, New Year’s Eve. Allen Burton, then 37, wore a tan flowered-print, button-down shirt, and Pat Burton, then 34, wore large square-framed glasses, a white ruffled blouse and a brown peasant skirt. The couple exchanged vows in a simple wedding ceremony at a recreation hall in Veneta.

BRING is counting its many blessings. Solstice marks a turning point. It's been a good year and we're thankful.

BRING hung a suet feeder on a tree in the bio-swale. Bush tits and Townsend Warblers have arrived!

BRING is jumping up and down with joy. The cool and creative folks at Imagine Graphics announced the non-profit giveaway results. We're a winner! BRING gets a truck wrap! It'll really increase our visibility as we drive around town, and that helps us achieve our mission. Thanks to all of you who nominated us. Imagine is a g...reat company to work with, and they couldn't be more generous to the non profit community.

BRING Have you been wondering how to recycle all those Tyvek envelopes you've been stockpiling? (Thanks Lorraine, for sharing the link)
www2.dupont.com
DuPont™Tyvek®envelopes are made of high density polyethylene which is 100% recyclable. Tyvek®can also be safely incinerated, and because it yields water and carbon dioxide, it essentially leaves no residue for disposal. ...

BRING is frozen. Literally. No water anywhere this morning. Thank goodness we have a Porta Potty!

BRING is going to the Chapel, and we're going to be working... (sing along folks). Chapel of Second Chances is coming along. Saturday, volunteers will be working on it. Join 'em! We have our first Re-Celebretion Dec 31st--a renewal of vows for a 25th anniversary.

BRING will be closed on Friday, Nov 27th in honor of Buy Nothing Day (and to give everyone a break). We're thankful for your support, thankful that so many conservation minded folk live here and thankful that we do meaningful work that improves the community.

BRING is psyched about Imagine Groups Non Profit Giveaway. They do really fine work, and they're donating $8,000 in graphics services to non profits. You can nominate your favorite group on their Facebook page. We'd love it if it was BRING!

BRING thinks kids should draw on walls. If walls are covered with chalkboards that is. We got 'em, and they're around $5 a foot, in sizes big enough to cover most of a wall at kid height.

BRING has loads of wood furniture. Desks, tables, school chairs. All on sale for a few days. Gotta keep 'em out of the rain!

BRING is proud. We are completing our 2008 independent financial audit. The CPA reported our financial statements are the best of any of the non profits they review. It's really hard to comply with Federal regulations in the post Enron era. We work hard on this.
