Baker’s campus minister, the Rev. Ira DeSpain, is spearheading an effort to raise at least $1,500 for Nothing but Nets, a charity that buys malaria netting for people in Africa. For each $10 net, a family of four can be protected for five years.

Baker University(Official) Baker University raised $240 Tuesday night for Nothing But Nets, a fund-raiser to purchase mosquito netting to prevent malaria in Africa. One mosquito net costs $10 and protects a home for four years, meaning enough money has been raised to protect 24 homes for 4 years. Nothing but Nets buckets for donations will be at the men's and women's basketball games on Tuesday, Nov. 10.
