Here, here, Jenn. We need to stop over developing. We already can't fill all of the homes that we have. We need to stop or we will collapse soon. We want to move to the country soon and am afraid that no matter to what part of the area that we move, it will be taken over soon by "development" which is only good for the developer not necessarily... Read More the community as a whole.

Transportation is not an issue. Allow people to take care of themselves will strengthen each person and therefore the community. If the community continues to "take care of" everybody, then you will have a community of dependent grown children. Allow people to pick themselves up "by their boot-straps". If they can't that is when the church should jump in.

oh, I know. develop a mass transit system that runs in the evenings and on weekends, as well as during the work week! Oh, and add more buses, routes, and service. Increase bike lanes and hold bike safety awareness seminars and classes. Put in some sidewalks so foot traffic becomes safer.
