I started up P90X last week, and I have been having a lot of neck problems with the Banana Rolls and Superman/Banana. I usually can get mostly through the first one, but my neck basically screams at me to give before the 10 sec. hold of the Banana Roll, and I find myself skipping the rest of the move and Superman/Banan...a. I just wanted to add... Provided that you are completely healthy, You do want to "Bring it" BUT do it sanely and safely! Sometimes people can get hurt by trying to do a program at too high a level of intensity before their muscle and connective tissue (and cardiovascular system) have adapted in a way that is prepared to handle it. P90X isn't going ... Read Moreanywhere, you are better off starting slowly and modify it as much as you need to. Doing it this way will allow you to enjoy the process. Then you can have fitness as an ongoing lifestyle and do as many rounds of P90X as you want. However, too often I've seen people start a program like this with the best of intentions, but they overstep their boundaries, get injured and give up. Some folks might be better off starting with something like the Power 90 Masters Program, which is a fantastic program (my actual overall favorite of Tony's stuff).

Hey Lindsay, as a Team Beachbody coach I'll tell you what I tell my clients/customers: Modify, modify, modify! Never do anything that is painful. Do a version of the Superman-Banana that feels right to your body. One thing that this journey will do for you Lindsay is improve your ability to listen to your body. to the degree that you're able to listen to your body, you'll be free of injury.
