Beatallica This week's Beatallica salute goes to one of our German friends, Dennis. He has been with us since we've hit foreign soil. I believe we first met him in Munich. Since then, he's conquered our hometown of Milwaukee and hit up Camp Tinker for some much needed whiskey drinking. He's one of our German ring leaders and we give him a huge cheer!

Traci has developed a thicker skin and, hopefully, a saucier attitude due to her travels with us. But she is a sea-faring lassie. She can take it....

Beatallica Merch maven Traci rocks the fez. The inaugural wearing may have been in Wash D.C?... It has appeared at gigs, on video, and quite possibly in supermercados and 7-11s around the country. It's like the Stanley Cup with a tassle and balances much better on her noggin.

The Fez was presented to me in Baltimore, Maryland at closing of my, I think, 4th Beatallica show in 2006. The owner of the venue was pleased with my entire revamp of his merch area (moved it from one side of a hall to the other, added lights, tables, a "check out" counter and a place to hang shirts.) He asked if I neded anything as we were ... See Morepacking out for the night. I had spied said fez which was perched on a beer tapper at a side bar when we arrived. I pointed to it and asked "how muff fo da fez?" He walked over, took it and set it on my head like a crown. Washington DC was the next gig, and so, yes, you're correct, I wore it the entire show that night for the first time. Turns out, the opening band had been at the same Baltimore venue the weekend before, and it was the lead singer's, who had forgotten it. When the band dude found out where I got it, he slapped me HARD on my ass and said it looked good on me and to keep it. It has traveled with me to every show pretty much...sometimes, I just keep it on the seat ofthe van during the shows to keep watch. The tassle is totally frazzled yet I don't thik I'll replace it as it is quite hesh.
