Beth Karas InSession The Iowa jury deliberated for just under two hours before convicting Michelle Kehoe of first degree murder and attempt to commit murder. I'm doing liveshots tomorrow from the courthouse then heading to NYC by the late afternoon.

An Iowa jury found Thursday that a mother with a history of depression knew right from wrong when she slashed her sons' throats, killing one and leaving the other permanently scarred.

Richard, how true, how could the husband have not steped in & gotten her the help she needs. What was he thinking, where is his rational. If he would have gotten her some psychiatric help, maybe this wouldn't have happened, she had previous attempts. What happened was so horrible, poor little children, I just hope she does get some psychiatric care... Read More in jail. I don't envey the jury on this one, I think they made the right decision though. I hope people look at this case & take notice, so maybe if someone out there needs help, the people around them will recognize it, to avert another senseless tragedy. Thanks Beth for always guiding us laymen through the judicial procedings, you're fabulous.

Is there any way we can get to see the Verdict form. Can CNN or IN SESSION or TRU TV post it on their website. I am interested to see if the Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity was on the verdict form for the jury to deliberate. If you can post it on your facebook page will be very appreciate. thanks.

Beth, I was wondering if it was just me, or did I see Michelle's attorney give her a pill or something that she put in her mouth. I believe I saw that two times!!! Watch you all the time and love how you bring us all your knowledge and commentary.

Does Michelle have anyone in the courtroom supporting her? I wonder if she has any family there supporting, or against, her? I watch In Session all day long when there is a live tril going on!! I am a huge fan!! You give the best trial coverage!! Can you answer these questions on air tomorrow? Usually you see some family members in the courtroom with a trial like this one?? Thanks for the great job!! Lynn Geerdes, let us know how your visit goes??? I am so jeolous!!

The visit was great and the trial expert testimony was interesting to hear firsthand. It was hard to hear the graphic details of the crime. Beth was incredibly gracious even though she was very busy covering the trial and uncovering additional information about the case. I also got to meet some other members of her team and the station. Thanks again, Beth!

She eventually got off. I wasn't following trials at that time so I don't know details about her case, but, I do know that she was originally convicted. Did she have the same defense lawyer for both trials?

Beth, I noticed that Justice Mendez was rather quite pleasant on the bench, she controlled the court with respect for all!... she seemed easy going and polite... Does this mean that she's a softy in sentencing... something tells me that I have a feeling that she is!.
