I think he might have discarded those bottles because it gave the appearance he had been drinking, even though the tests disprove it.

I think the verdict was correct. Although I can sympathize with the pain the family is going thru, the aunt that Beth interviewed needs to learn that this man did NOT deliberately hit the child. She said that she hopes he can sleep at night after doing this. I'm sure he HAS trouble sleeping and he'll live with this for the rest of his life.

Then she made what sounded like a threat when she said, "this isn't over, yet". Unless she was referring to the other charges, there's not much else they can do. They settled the civil case out of court and he was found not guilty in this trial. What could she have meant?... See More

I also wonder where she gets some of her info. She says he was on his cell phone and dropped it and was picking it up when he hit the girl. HOW does she know that unless she was in the car?

Beth Karas InSession Here's a summary of day one in the reckless homicide trial of Ronald Killings. Wednesday is day two.

insession.blogs.cnn.com
Murfreesboro, TN - There is little factual dispute in the reckless homicide trial of former Detective Sergeant Ronald Killings, accused of causing a fatal accident when his unmarked patrol car struck and killed Lakeisha White, an 11-year-old pedestrian, in July 2008. ...

Why would Killings be driving 70mph to back up an officer who had simply found lost property??? There was no crime in progress; as the burglary had taken place the night before.

Beth Karas InSession I co-wrote an article about the charge Conrad Murray is facing in the death of Michael Jackson.

www.cnn.com
To prove involuntary manslaughter, prosecutors will have to convince jurors that Michael Jackson's doctor took risks he shouldn't have -- and that other doctors wouldn't have, legal experts say.

great article Beth. With who dr murray killed i do not think a jury anywhere is going to find this man innocent .
I am honestly confused as to why there is not a stiffer charge because of all the medication he gave to michael minutes within eachother. i forget exactly what they all were butme being a pain pump patient knows how strictly the drs ... See Moremeasure out the meds that go into my pump not only with their eyes but with a machine and they even go as far as draining out what medicaton is left over from the last refill and they measure that out also until they get every bit of it out of the pump.So his excuses wont fly with me one bit.

Thanks for the update Beth.I am so glad that the jury gave her life plus 25 yrs for the attempted murder of her 7 yr old.
Her 7 yr olds testimony is i believe what won the case for the prosecution.I dont care what her husband says .if her husband knew she had these type of mental problems then he is just as much to blame for allowing her alone ... See Morewith the kids.also he could have had her committed by taking it to court. but he didnt do that either . she had sought care in yrs.dont use this excuse just because youve seen a shrink int he oast
i just hope and pray that the father doesnt take the verdict n sentencing out on the little boy he has been through enough.
