Participants form a circle on the sidewalk around the Green, holding unlit candles that are supplied. Most of the campus lights are turned off but there will be ushers with flashlights to help people find their places in the dark. It takes about 250 people to entirely circle the Green.
After some singing of Christmas ca...rols and reading of Scripture passages, the candles will be lighted to form “a wreath around the Green.” At the end of the service, which lasts 15-20 minutes, everyone walks into the middle of the Green with their lights to sing one or two additional carols. There are cookies and hot drinks in the cafeteria afterward.

The program will consist of traditional Christmas carols and festive holiday music. The Concert Choir will participate in four pieces: Harry Simeone’s arrangement of “’Twas the Night Before Christmas”; Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas”; Bob Krogstad’s “In Adoration of the Child”; and John Leavitt’s arrangement of “O Ho...ly Night.”
“It’s an honor to be invited, and to be performing with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra,” said Eash. “It’s an opportunity for students to perform with a metropolitan and professional orchestra – most students won’t have the chance to do that.
