Bill White I talked to teachers and met students, including Julio, who came back to high school after dropping out for three years and is now studying criminal justice in community college.
Bill White Friday, I visited some great educators in the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo school district in the Valley. Dr. King and his team have cut dropout rates with alternative schools for older students and young mothers. Students who fell far behind are helped with individualized attention.

The Insurance Commission, appointed by the Governor, regulated American General's debt. In 2008 AIG imposed on American General the obligation to support the debt of AIG's separate, ins...olvent financial services division, crippling a Texas company. Why didn't the Commission stop it?
