Bobby, you haven't told us what, exactly, you think about these new track dryers. Are they going to be cheaper to run, quieter, and so on. How much faster will they be to dry the rack than the current track dryers?

Angela Wolf I was just reading back where someone commented ........ wouldnt it be great if RCR changed the 7 to 3 and Bobby could be in the 3 .. Oh gosh that wouldn't that be the ultimate Announcement!!! No harm dreaming

No harm dreaming, you're right,,, but it's been made more than clear the 3 will not be brought back until RC has his grandson racing in cup. Honestly, I don't think Bobby - or any driver - wants to drive the 3.

I have a weird feeling about driving numbers that have had drivers die in them,,
I still get chills and kinda creeped out when I see the 44 rolling around the track, but to see the 3 would creep a lot of people out.

Dale Jr. said once that he wouldn't mind maybe driving the 3 at least once. You're right, I think it would creep out quite a few people and make quite a few others mad that think no one should drive that number except for an EARNHARDT.

71abonte. Hard to descirbe, but if you cstylize the 71 similar to TRG's, the 1 can look like an L if you draw out the bottom right footer on the 1. Make sense at all?

Angela, get something red and black and maybe white so we'll know it is a Bobby thing. You could put the BL Enterprises logo on it. It'll stand out. We had a blast at the Speed channel stage, especially prior to the start of the show. They throw lots of goodies! My grandchildren had such a blast. Once it started, I forgot there were cameras on us ... Read Moreand hubby said that as I was tossing my grandson off my shoulders, the cameras were panning on me. I guess someone should remind me I might be on TV. I just didn't think about it. Too busy having fun.

Tom, no I did not know that was Bobby's bedtime. I did know that he was not a night person like me as during that race in which he was in the lead and Jimmie Johnson was in second and they red-flagged the race, Bobby said, on the radio, I wish the'd get this race on its way as it is way past my bedtime. I am on a different time zone and I thought ... Read Moreit was past my bedtime. I only know what Bobby is willing to share with the public and any other, confidential information, I purposely forget about. I guess I don't have time to stalk anyone.

We are leaving for Phoenix on Wednesday as well! We decided just a few weeks ago to attend and so we will be driving from Northern California with a rest stop in Laughlin. We always get seats up high in the Allision Grandstand - too old to sit on the hillside but it does look fun over there (kind of afraid of the sna...kes though). My feeling is, any seat at a Nascar race is better than watching from home.

I am sooo looking forward to the weekend. Go Bobby!!!!!!

Am thinking I may need to put the Phx race on my schedule for 2010. All in my family decided to leave MO & moved back to AZ this last July & live just outside of Phx. Would make for an ideal vacation! Hope all of you have a great time! :-)

We are not going into the pits this year either Angela, by the time we get there on Friday it will be time to watch qualifying and then the truck race will start. I do need to get pictures of the #71 car though and pit road is the best place to get them. My camera isn't too good, so I have to get up close. I hope Bobby's pit stall is up near ... Read Moreturn 1 so we will be able to see him coming and going.

Thanks Diane for the info on the breakfast buffet, I think the Pioneer is one of those cool casinos that sit right on the river walk. We shall give it a try.

Kathy Folkes Please forgive this non-NASCAR note, my friends:

DC sniper, John Allen Muhammad, that terrorized our neighborhoods for 3 weeks 7 years ago, will be put to death by lethal injection tonight at 9pm. ET (National news covering all day.). I’ve never lived in such fear in my life. To the truck driver who was alert enough to notice the license plate no., report it and block the rest area exit; Thank You!!!

Bobby Labonte (Official Page) Posted the USA Today article about the faster track dryer on Sunday, now here's the video if you haven't seen it yet. Been working with this guy for a year or so...would like to see it put to use!

Source: www.youtube.com
a friend sent this to me ... if you like nascar racing, you've seen trucks dry the track after rain, or after a crash. check out how fast this truck removes 1/4" of water and dries the track completely. this is a prototype they're testing with roll out for next season. great innovation

Steve, too funny! But true. Here's hoping the Nascar family can think out of the box for once! That might be asking for the impossible tho! :-)

Bobby posted something about a new track dryer on Twitter. Since I never can figure Twitter out and I never see what I posted to Bobby there, I just don't post. But here is where you can go to see the track dryer he posted about. I personally like the ones they have now as they sound like they have more power! May not ...dry as well as the one on YouTube, but they are more exciting. lolhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IkYcW_5QpIRead More

Bobby talk is basically talking in circles, never answering the questions directly and confusing the person you are talking to. It is a great way to converse when you don't want to answer a question. Our friend DeBora is quite good at Bobby talk, perhaps she can give an example. :) LOL
