The section of the Parkway from milepost 298 to 305 (Holloway Mtn. Rd. to U.S. 221) is closed this a.m. due to snow and ice. Travelers are advised to use N.C. 105 between Linville (intersects with U.S. 221) and Foscoe (at Holloway Mtn. Rd.) to span that closed section of the Parkway.

The old Yonahlossee Road is now U.S. 221 between Linville and Blowing Rock. It is also known as NC Scenic Byway, "Little Parkway," so-named because it parallels the Parkway for that distance. It will take you by the entrance to Grandfather Mountain and right by Floyd's roadside honey stand!
