BRAZILIAN MUSIC LOVERS:
For many years, the California Brazil Camp has considered hosting a Master Class Series in Brazil for a select group of students who want an in-depth learning experience in Brazilian Music.
We are very pleased to now offer a
SPECIAL INTENSIVE WORKSHOP in UBATUBA, BRAZIL!
Participants will... have the unique opportunity to experience and share the intensity and depth of one of the most creative musical minds of our time, Hermeto Pascoal. Renowned worldwide for his prowess as a composer, multi-instrumentalist, arranger and improviser, Hermeto lives and breathes music 24 hours a day.
Assisting in these workshops will be Jovino Santos Neto, a longtime collaborator who was the pianist in Hermeto’s legendary Grupo for 15 years.
Lodging will be at Água Doce Praia Hotel and classes will take place at Pousada Chacara Riacho Doce in the foothills of the lush Serra do Mar Mountains.

Classes are offered in Brazilian Jazz, Chorinho Music, Cuban Drumming, and Candomble Drumming. The World-Class Master Teachers include: Mestre Jorge Alabe, Leo Leobons, Mestre Ney do Oxossi, Michael Spiro, Alessandro Penezzi, Ted Falcon, Claudia Villela, Jovino Santos Neto and Hermeto Pascoal.
The Intensive course includes 90 minute classes twice daily, jam sessions at night, a special concert during the week, lodging, three meals daily, transportation to and from the Sao Paulo airport, and a half day Ubatuba trip to one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Brazil. Capoeira and Yoga classes will also be offered to music students.
Cost: US$1995/ $1795 if paid by Dec 15 (airfare not included)

Kristin Maxwell hi! I'm looking for some good carnaval tunes to sing.. enredos, maracatu, samba reggae... if anyone has any fun ideas or favorite songs, I'd be really happy for ideas. Something that is upbeat or will get the crowd excited!! any help would be great! ;)
