Brazosport College Stop by the Gator Bash Auto and Bike Festival from 1-5 PM on Saturday, October 31 in the college's parking lot. The festival will showcase cars and bikes from all over Brazoria County and will have live entertainment from DJ Merk.

The BASF Center is the college’s newest state-of-the-art building for students in the petrochemical, energy and nuclear fields.
The 10,000 square-foot building houses a control room for the process equipment trainer (distillation unit) and an operator’s boot camp, as well as a future power generation unit. The building ...also features a laboratory analysis area, maintenance and repair area, student locker room, permit area, three classrooms and a large lobby.
Two of the classrooms have a movable wall partition between them, which makes it flexible for meetings or different size classes.
In addition to conducting classes, the center will provide a location for the college to conduct open houses or orientations for the community to get a glimpse of how a chemical plant operates.
The center’s designs and drawings were completed by Architecture, Etc. The project was headed up by general contractor Durotech L.P. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing work was completed by ACR Engineering, Inc., while structural work was finished by SCA Consulting Engineers.
BASF made a $1 million commitment to the BC Foundation in support of the new facility. The Center was also funded through the $70 million bond that was approved in 2007. Much of the equipment associated with the building was funded through grants.
The BASF Center for Process Technology is the first step toward completion of the college’s Science and Technology Corridor. Upcoming projects include the Byron and Sandra Sadler Health Professions/Science Complex and the Dow Academic Building.
