The Bonsai are just spectacular. But hurry, the leaves have already changed color and some trees are completely bare.

BBG's Bonsai collection is among the best of its sort. It was always a pleasure to quietly sneak into that section when all was quiet and draw the various species. Best yet was an ancient Bonsai oak.
Is Betty Scholtz still there?

Brooklyn Botanic Garden Come see our beautiful photography exhibit, which just opened this weekend! In anticipation of our upcoming centennial, we're showing photos of the Garden now, juxtaposed with photos from the early years. It's all happening in our Steinhardt Conservatory for the next couple of months!

Danny

Danny Being the son of an employee of BBG, I always tend to underappreciate the place since it's been more or less routine for me since I was 3. Now, however, especially having volunteered there for a summer, I can really see what a great place the Garden is.

Frank Schifano There won't be much if anything left by Christmas. Peak color is already past. The place is still beautiful in winter though and well worth a visit.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden Bring your photos and memories of BBG to the Garden this Sunday, 11/1, for our first Memory Collection Day! We'll scan the images and help you submit them to possibly be included in next year's centennial celebration. We know you all have wonderful stories about BBG from the last 100 years and we want to hear them!

Brooklyn Botanic Garden We have two State Champ trees! And our trees are the first in New York City to receive this honor. The weather should get better tomorrow, so it's the perfect time to come see the gorgeous fall colors and our champion trees!
