What would you do to spread a little hope to a child in need this Christmas? Would you become a fan of Bruegger’s on Facebook? Now is your chance! Throughout November, Bruegger’s will donate $1.00 to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation for every new fan on Facebook.

If you’re already a fan, tell ten, twenty, thirty, forty or more of your Facebook friends. Together we can help Toys for Tots brighten the lives of less fortunate children across the U.S. this holiday season.

Why is Bruegger’s supporting Toys for Tots?

Bruegger’s is teaming up with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to meet the dramatic increase in requests for toys this holiday season. Not only are we donating $1.00 for each one of our new fans on Facebook, nearly 275 participating Bruegger’s bakeries will be a drop off site for toy donations through the “Kids Helping Kids” campaign. In return for their generosity, kids can choose a free meal from the bakery-café’s new kids menu, launched in September 2009. All toys collected will be distributed locally to less fortunate children.

Who is Marines Toys for Tots Foundation?

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a not for profit organization authorized by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Department of Defense to provide fundraising and other necessary support for the annual Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Now in its 62nd year, Toys for Tots provides joy and a message of hope to economically disadvantaged children through the gift of a new toy during the Christmas holiday season. Our gifts offer these children hope, recognition and a positive memory they will cherish for a lifetime. Many of the gifts we provide, such as books, games and sports equipment, make a significant contribution to the educational, social and recreational development of these children. In 2008, Marines distributed gifts to 7.6 million children in over 650 communities nationwide. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation relies on individual donations from the American public as well as support from corporate sponsors, to include its Four Star Partners Hasbro, Inc; Scholastic and Toys "R" Us, Inc.
