Bryan Independent School District Crockett Elementary celebrated its 60th anniversary with a community reception on Nov. 3. Built in 1949, the school is the oldest elementary building still in use, and the second oldest BISD building behind SFA.

Bryan Independent School District Bryan Collegiate High School raised more than $2300 for breast cancer research during its annual Pink Out event. On Oct. 22, the student body held a pep rally to raise awareness of this issue. A paper chain created by BCHS and Fannin Elementary students was stretched from the BCHS campus to Bryan Radiology, a facility where mammograms are administered.
