Dave Yankowiak

Dave Yankowiak We purchased a Bushnell Onix 400 GPS for my dad for Christmas. Nice display on the unit! Very easy to read. However, he wants to use the unit for fishing and would like to install lake maps that show depth lines. What does he need to do to get lake maps installed on his Onix? Does anyone produce lake map charts compatible with the Onix 400?

I got a Video scope, Really neat idea guys. I hope that getting out in the woods where I hunt provides enough light. also a removable camera card would of been a great idea a sealed usb jack as I hunt very wet areas option for double a batteries also a good idea. When I hunt I have less then 15 seconds to make sure i'm loaded safety off find my ... See Moretarget steady myself and shoot. Note when I pull the trigger I drop the animal if I am not 100% sure I just watch it go about its business every 1/4 second counts now I am going to try to hit power and record hmmmmmmm But I do like it I just wish it had been better thought out for the money. this version I would expect to pay 80 dollars for, the version I would like 200 with image stabilizer night vision/low light battery option camera card oh and whats with the green beacon is hi-viz orange not enough now we got a green safety beacon. lol sorry guys I know you probly thought wow this is great. I give it a D+ you tried but you failed. just remember if its done right the first time there is no reason to go back and try again. a happy customer is the one that buys something once and it lasts a lifetime.

Tim, While we have taken great care to include as many calibers and brand names in our ballistics tables, new loads are always being developed. In addition, some shooters load their own ammunition with unique ballistic characteristics. If you cannot find your load in our ballistic tables, you can still use the bullet drop feature of the laser rangefinder. As above, sight in your rifle at 100 yds. Then shoot the rifle, without adjusting the riflescope, at 300 yds. Measure the bullet drop from the point of aim. Using this drop, select the ballistic group from below. If you will be shooting longer distances then you may want to check the bullet drop at 500 yds. Because there is enormous variation in rifle barrels, chambers, and hand loads, you should thoroughly test the ballistic setting before actual hunting. You may need to move up or down one group depending upon your tests.

Phyllis Wilkinson Meyer Miles

Phyllis Wilkinson Meyer Miles I love your products because of the quality and reliability. We just bought a BackTrack model #36-0053 and cannot open the back to insert batteries. After many attempts with several friends we went back to Sports Authority for assistance. No one at the store could open it. Worse yet was that we checked another unit... in the store and found that it could not be opened either. What is the secret as we would prefer to not return it?

Phyllis, try turning the back clockwise as instructed. Then if the back will not come off apply the hose on your vacuum cleaner flush against the back and turn it on, this should pull the door right off.

Sam, try turning the pinseeker mode back on by pressing the button on the side.

PinSeeker™ (LCD Indicator - ) Ever have trouble getting distance to the flag? This advanced mode allows easy acquisition of the flag without inadvertently getting distances to background targets (i.e. trees) that have stronger signal strength.
