College of the Rockies hosted a meeting of the National Council of Deans Trades and Apprenticeship Canada and the National Council of Deans of Technology last week.
The 2009/10 class of Wild About Hair held their annual ‘Queen Competition’ at the College of the Rockies Cranbrook main campus on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Students were required to style their mannequin or ‘Judy’ heads in the roller-set style of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Campus Smokeout ’09 is the first ever province-wide smoke-free post-secondary day.
On October 8, 2009 between the hours of 10:00 and 3:00 we are requesting that all students, faculty and staff refrain from smoking on campus property. If you wish to smoke between these hours we are encouraging you to support this event ...by leaving campus grounds to do so.
Information and resouces for anyone looking to quit smoking will be available on October 8th at the table located outside of the cafeteria.
We will be encouraging anyone about to light up to hand in their cigarette in return for a lollipop and entry into a draw to win a prize. Our goal is to collect at least 100 cigarettes per school representing the number of non-smokers in B.C. that die each year from diseases brought on by exposure to second-hand smoke.Read More
