Veterans Day is a special day we reserve to honor those who make a choice to risk life and limb to protect the ideals of American society. The beautiful thing about today is that even if you disagree with it as a holiday, the fact that you live in a country where dissent is allowed is a tribute to those who have fought foriegn powers who reject individual freedoms we take for granted...

No Elissa Bishop-Becker! Veterans are the only group that risk their lives on a daily basis on behalf of the "entire nation"....and the only ones who offer to give their lives to preserve our rights and freedoms. Fireman and policemen, who also risk their lives, work for individual communities and municipalities and are frequently honored in the places where they live and work.

Saw some of the Berlin Wall celebration on Fox News earlier today! Was awesome seeing those giant dominoes falling to celebrate the fall of the old Berlin Wall! I am so glad that there is no wall there in Berlin to seperate families, friends anymore. I remember as a kid watching the news in 1961 when the news broke about the wall going up in ... Read MoreBerlin and the airlifts that were made to send in food to the Berliners that were divided due to the crisis. Then in 1989, watching CNN, I saw that ugly wall get picked on, pulled on, pushed on to get them down, and the East German police couldn't do anything about it! People were tired of the seperations and the oppression! That was the very beginning of the fall of communism in East Germany, East Europe, and Russia! Now, there's alot of work to be done to get all of Asia out of communism, oppression, and tyranny for good. And, Cuba! Would love to see a world that is free from communism and dictatorship! Lord, let that happen!

Mark you've been reading too many 'I own my own facts' propaganda hand-outs. It wasn't 'the liberals' who destroyed the housing with unregulated derivatives or the automobile and health care markets or small business through deregulation of intra-state banking laws to favor merger mania and the large franchise (such as Wall-Mart etc.)."The liberals' even those among our founding fathers, are not the catch-phrase for all that's bad with the nation.

Its funny how people who use a lot of government services have the biggest protest against it. Yet they could not survive without it. Oftentimes they are the poorest of the poor or the richest of the rich, they never read, only react. Blows my mind. I too am glad the Democrats finally showed some heart instead of allowing the 'Nope Dopes' continue with the loud bashing of anything good for the American People.

adrienne turning off the crazies does not lessen their potential damage to humanity. difficult as it might be, we need to know what they are up to. we should never structure our message around defending our ideals, but their ideology must not be ignored.

Dolores your flat wrong, IM so sick and tired of people bitching about Freddy and Fanny, the problem want freddy and fanny, the overturning of glass steigel hurt fanny and freddy, not the other way around genius.

fanny and Frddy had problems for the same reason that the other banks had problems, your logic is extremely flawed, you are expecting fanny and freddy to supercede the laws???? your wrong!

Fanny and Freddy and the BANKS collapsed because Gas prices climbed which made prices climb, which made people unable to pay all of their bills which made the interest rates climb which made their bills go up, which made them less able to pay them.... Read More

to think you are so narrow mindedly focused against the government that you would distort reality to such an extreme is disturbing, and your last nbame is GARCIA???? how the hell does that work??? check and see how many Garcias have benefitted from Fanny and Freddy.

wow, you self haters annoy me to no end. so worried that someone might get something you dont get? I dont get it? why do you care what Financial institutions OTHER people use????? clearly the banks you have been using arent providing educational loans

Dawn your flat wrong, I have been in the mortgage industry for 23 years and know first hand what I'm talking about. The Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have tides with Accorn who was allowing people to get a mortgage with income put on their applications that they could not document and it was consider a lie, this was done to get them approved and these... Read More loans were done only thru BOA. Oh Barack Hussein Obama is also tide into Accorn.
Listen my name is GARCIA and I'm an American and don't want the Government to be involved in our lives. If a person does not qualify to buy a home they should not if they can not afford it, they should be told to lie and commit fraud to get them into a home if they can not afford to make the payments they should not allow them to lie on their income to help them buy something they can not afford, plain and simple.
I don't hate anyone I just concern that this government is taking over everything and always seem to blame the previous Administration for everything. We can all day point fingers!
This Administration needs to GET JOBS BACK FOR ALL THE UNEMPLOYED or do they just keep giving handouts to keep them down.
What is your concerns?
