Eh, I catch the news daily. I have it split between NYTimes online and C-SPAN. Often I read more focused articles from other sources for a specific topic I'm looking for at the moment instead though. Try looking up the articles from the Washington Post on farm subsidies. It may make you interested, you have been warned.

Cecilia... that includes Pelosi, Boxer, Obama, Biden and Reid. They supported and knew about EVERYTHING Bush, Cheney and the CIA were and are now involved in. Obama is just as supportive of the war and it's premise of origin and continuity. In theory, if you want justice... most of both sides of the aisle AND our current president should be in jail... right? I am all for it! We need a flushing of the D.C. toilet. Count me in! When are we starting this? :)

This is for the loyal Bush blamers and Clinton worshipers. They both made mistakes, and hindsight is perfect. Now, the Obama administration, in particular, Eric Holder, is repeating history. Exerpts below were taken from a liberal media forum.

Bob Kerry, a former senator and current 9/11 commission member, said, “The most important thing the Clinton administration could have done would have been for the president, either himself or by going to Congress, asking for a congressional declaration to declare war on al-Qaida, a military-political organization that had declared war on us.”

Too many people value seniority and use that as their reasoning for supporting and voting for the terminal and eternal congressperson. The seniority system must go. It should be a random draw for service on committees and the chair can then be voted on by the randomly selected.

Ken, the F22 gets damaged by rain and costs 350 million a copy, SecDef & POTUS were for stopping production of this boondoggle. We have term limits, it's called the vote.

Everett what is your point? I know all about the F-22. Robert Byrd voted FOR the F-22 by voting AGAINST the legislation that eliminated the funding for it. Do you understand Robert Byrd wanted to continue it for purely selfish reasons? http://voices.washingtonpost.com/capitol-briefing/2009/07/sen_byrd_back_on_the_senate_fl.html?hpid=topnews

Paul S, I have no need for your lecture, particularly one that does not offer enlightenment, although I'm sure well intentioned.

I'm aware of the protections America's constitution, & bill of rights provides to Americans, even the most evil, disgusting Americans. Gitmo detainees are not 'folks' entitled to the same protections as good or even those bad Americans..

Lawyers are not above being human, and do have fantansies based on personal bias and interpretation of law. Supreme Court Judges interpret constitutional law, and they do not easily agree. ... Read More

As for the detainees brought to NY for trial, I agree with Rudy Guiliani, who learned his lesson from 1993, when America did not fully appreciate the power of Islamic terrorists to organize and wage war against America.

“Khalid Shaikh Mohammed should be treated like the war criminal he is and tried in a military court. He is not just another murderer, or even a mass murderer. He murdered as part of a declared war against us—America.”
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1109/29502.html

and, I agree with Senator McCain
"suspected terrorists should be treated as war criminals and tried in military tribunals."
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33913564/ns/politics/

Another Obama mistake. As C-in-C, he can decide whether detainees committed acts of war, and should be tried by military tribunal or criminal acts of violence. He decided, then promptly left the country.
