MRAK HALL PROTEST Nicki Sun Reporting AggieTV was fortunate enough to film footage from the inside of Mrak Hall before the doors closed during the 32% fee increase protest. From 10am-9:47pm, when a total of 52 students were arrested [confirmed by Public Information Officer] thus ending the protest (FOR NOW!), stude...nts remained non-aggressive and peaceful. This video reveals what actually happened while inside Mrak as well as giving voice to students. The fight on fee increases continues Friday, November 20th on the Quad at 11am in addition to a discussion with university personal from 12-2pm in ARC Ballroom B. In 2007, UC Davis students reported 69 cases of forcible sex assault - a number almost twice as much as all other UC campus reports combined. However, two recent reviews of these numbers have found that the statistics are significantly lower, due to a number of cases that lacked documentation.
