Calvert School We would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving (for those who celebrate, anyway!) Please note: Calvert Education Services will be closed Thursday (11/26), and Friday (11/27).
TaNisha Gates-Harris My husband and I live in Inglewood, Ca. We have a one year old who is just amazing. She is already reading certain words and loves being read to. We are so excited to find a school that will continue the same passion and drive for education we have started in her young life. WE So glad to have found Calvert. Calvert School Do you turn off your phones and/or other potential distractions during homeschool lessons? How else do you keep your student(s) focused?

Amy Neeson Weatherly We just got our calvert K box~ we plan to start in January and finish by the time school starts in the fall (at that point we will start 1st). I am VERY impressed with the materials and how organized everything is- I am nervous to begin homeschooling, but I realize that it's no different than what we've already been ...doing up to now (just more informally). We are very excited and my son is VERY ready!

Melissa While we were practicing new spelling words, my 15 month old decided she also needed to get into the mix. She had fun trying to distract her brother from working!
Calvert School What are your goals for the school year? When do you set them and how will you determine success?
Suzy We can't get on the Calvert site today. There seems to be some sort of ATT error. Does anyone know how to fix that?
Melissa I have to say that the NASA Channel is the best resource for those kids who are interested in Space. This last year we have watched 4 shuttle launches live as well as station dockings and undockings, and atleast one shuttle return to earth. I feel these are important to watch as we dont know when the Aries rockets wi...ll be ready to be used (we did watch the successful test launch!) You can watch everything online as well as on the NASA tv channel.
