CamTwist is a software package that integrates with video applications by simulating a video camera output. CamTwist can add special effects as well as enable the usage of multiple video conferencing programs at the same time.
CamTwist Studio is a software television studio which makes it easy to produce live broadcasts. CamTwist Studio allows for multiple camera switching, DDR playback, CG insertion and more. Many of the terms and concepts in CamTwist Studio were pulled from existing television broadcast practices. Since CamTwist Studio is fully software based, it is able to do even more than a traditional television studio would be capable of.
CamTwist 2.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or greater and it cannot be utilized in combination with iChat. CamTwist is free software created, developed, maintained and distributed by Steve Green. CamTwist Studio concepts and design and CamTwist video tutorials were provided by Benjamin J. Higginbotham.
