Each year, Paws for Praise Dog Training, in Danvers, selects a different rescue or shelter to receive a donation from our Howl-O-Ween celebration. Last year, Melrose Humane was the beneficiary. This year, it's our pleasure to donate, at our judge's request, to Cape Ann Animal Aid. Many of our clients are devotees of... positive training, and willing to travel "over the bridge" from Cape Ann - quite a few of their dogs came to them via Cape Ann Animal Aid, for which we are very grateful. Cape Ann Animal Aid and Big Brother, Big Sister will be hosting a recycling fundraiser on Saturday, October 24 from 9am to 1pm at the Fuller School parking lot. Electronics will be collected and recycled for a small fee to benefit Cape Ann Animal Aid and Big Brother, Big Sister. All donations are ta...x deductible. Large televisions and appliances will be collected for $20, air conditioners and monitors for $10-15. Printers, computers, fax machines, vacuums, lawn mowers, CD/DVD players, and scanners etc. will be collected for $5 each. Big Brothers, Big Sisters will also be collecting clothing items. Cape Ann Animal Aid Tomorrow is the third Thusday of the month! That means it's Overlooked Pets Adoption Day! Overlooked dogs and cats will be available for adoption for a reduced adoption fee.

Most of these animals have what some may call “imperfections” such as medical or physical challenges and others possess less popular qualities like cats or big dogs with black fur, are older in age, or need additional behavi...oral training.
In celebration of these special animals and in an effort help them find their forever home; Cape Ann Animal Aid is reducing the adoption fee for select dogs and cats on these days. Adoptions will be completed on a first come, first serve basis and all regular adoption requirements apply. Photos and adoption fees for the select overlooked pets will be posted on the shelter website prior to the 3rd Thursday of every month (usually on the 3rd Monday of every month).
