In a nutshell - we are the first generation guaranteed not to do as well or improve as the previous one.

It's hard to get the taste of 8 years of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney out of my mouth. With Palin and Beck on the rise, there is good reason to be concerned. Americans can be a very reactionary bunch if left to their own devices. In the meantime, we have the ruling class figuring out how to game the system and pillage the middle class. Regular folks need to get educated and work very hard just to tread water. The game is not on the level, and we need to take back our political system.

i say you on hardball. i would give obama about a b. the hcr bill can be tweaked. progressives act as if they were to going to get 100% of what they wanted. since when did a bill ever have 100% of everything?

Jesse Jackson who is a progressive person would certainly be for single payer healthcare for alll. That is what the American people want and it is only the the insurance company lobbyists who are keeping it from happening.

He's still the smartest guy on TV

Joel, I can't agree with you about that. He's obviously got a lot of old-school political experience, but so does Lawrence (Laurence?) O'Donnell. The smartest "guy" on TV is Rachel Maddow, hands down. And she can actually shut up and let people talk once in a while and STILL manage to totally school them if need be.
