Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Gary Roughead I was inspired when I met the group before the ride. They were even more inspiring on the road. Their courage in combat is equalled by their courage in recovery. What a group, and what a source of pride and motivation for all of us.

That was a fast ride into a mean wind, Admiral. You're a strong rider! Thanks for doing a great job for us in the Navy and for shouldering all that responsibility. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Gary Roughead It really was a great day yesterday. Army played hard, but Navy put an exclamation point on another Commander in Chief's Trophy. Army-Navy really is America's game.

i did 20 years, 0 days (dont know how I managed that) but I would have stayed in but had to go back to sea as an E6 and that's rough berthing wise. If E6's had their own berthing, I would have strongly considered it. (hint hint :)

Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Gary Roughead Hosting my Singaporean counterpart this week. He was in DC today and visits the Fleet for remainder for his time here. Pleased we are hosting one of their ships in San Diego for first time ever. A superb Navy that is setting the bar in maritime security and cooperation.

Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Gary Roughead Regret being off FB for so long. Out of town for holiday, visit to Colombia, and a lot of activity in DC. Colombia's Navy and riverine force impressive. Their fight against narco trafficking is terrific. Great and worthwhile visit.

Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Gary Roughead Last Thursday attended an event in Norfolk recognizing the rescue of Capt Rich Phillips from Somalian pirates. A great tribute to his courage and the professionalism and competence of the crew of USS BAINBRIDGE and our great Navy SEALS. No other force could do what we did.

Thank you all for protecting yourselves. As a new successfully engrafted Bone Marrow Transplant remising my Leukemia I got in Afghanistan, no live virus immunizations for me. So, from the perspective of having a suppressed immune system, I thank you all for your protection and support. Merry Christmas.
