Christyanna Manoloulis Children's Hospital Boston saved my life. Thank you CHB nurses, doctors and staff. Without you I wouldn't be here today.

Tinee Lupparelli Children's Hospital Boston has been providing exemplary care to my daughter since she was 8 months old. She has a congenital disorder - SWS - but the team of doctors who care for her have educated us so much that what could be a travesty is merely a hiccup. Thank You Children's Hospital Boston for the continued care, attention and love that you give to my family.

Cheryl Flynn Without the NICU staff, Dr. Brad Linden, and the miracle that is Omegaven; our son Matthew ("Baby Matthew" of the Mix 98.5 telethon of 2008) would never have survived being born at 26 weeks, weighing 1 lb. 4 oz., and having three major surgeries before he was even supposed to be born. We are thankful every day!

In reading the weekend's posts we noticed that some of you are wondering about whether there are opportunities to help the kids at Children's Hospital over the holidays. It's great that so many of the little miracles that happen around here are directly related to your willingness to help kids in need. That said, it's ...important to remember that we are a Hospital 24/7/365 and some ways of getting involved are better than others (especially with H1N1 still on the prowl).
In any case, here are a few things you might want to do for the kids here:
If you are a hands-on type, you may want to volunteer to read stories to kids. More on that here: [http://bit.ly/6kx9vB]
If culinary wizardry is more your thing, you can volunteer to cook a meal at one of our patient family houses. Families come from all over the world seeking care at Children's, and home cooked meals are a simple but wonderful gift. To get involved, send an email to [familyhousing@childrens.harvard.edu].
If you can't make it in to the Hospital, you could run a community fundraiser. You can register one and get support at: [http://bit.ly/2P732h]
But, really, one of the most powerful things you can do is also the easiest and most affordable. Setting up a monthly gift of $10 or more helps fund everything from crayons to cancer research, helping kids all year round. To do that click here: [http://bit.ly/5FnN3A]
Once again, thanks to all of you who are looking for a way to help out at the Hospital. Everyone here, from the kids to the clowns, really appreciate whatever help you can give.Read More

Hi all, I was thinking about donating some time at the hospital on Christmas day, and eve, so far the Idea I have is to Dress up like Santa Claus and get some gifts for some kids or something along those lines. Just sent the hospital and email inquiring about this idea. Let me know what you all think since I have never... done anything like this and don't know if this is even a viable idea, and if there are better ideas on how to donate my time during Christmas I would appreciate hearing them. (Gf is busy in another country while I am studying here so decided to give back to the community) Look forward to hearing all your replies.
Sincerely
