2010 Chicago Auto Show's First Look for Charity
Please join us on Thursday, February 11, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place for one of the biggest charity events in Chicago benefiting Children's Memorial Hospital and 17 other Chicago area charities.
The 2010 Chicago Auto Show's First Look for Char...ity provides a "first look" at the year's hottest new automobiles and an occasion to help the more than 140,000 young patients served by Children's Memorial each year.
This exclusive black tie event offers guests of Children's Memorial:
* A private cocktail reception beginning at 5:30 p.m.
* A preview of the Chicago Auto Show
* Exquisite cocktails and hors d' oeuvres
* A chance to win a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox (Prize vehicle winners must be present)
Individual tickets are $225, and corporate packages are available. Children's Memorial will receive all of the proceeds of tickets purchased on our behalf.

needs your help in our fight against food allergies. We're looking for 400 more families for our Food Allergy Study.
Thirty years ago, food allergy was extremely rare. Today, 4.3 million U.S. children live with this condition. The number of children suffering from peanut allergy alone has doubled in five years – and the... numbers continue to grow. The study is researching the role of genetics, the environment and the immune system on food allergy, and is designed to answer some fundamental questions such as: What are the causes of food allergy? How can food allergy be predicted and prevented? Are there alternative or better treatments for food allergy?

Children's Memorial Hospital presents a video tribute to more than 1,300 construction workers who have made our future home - Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago - a reality. The new facility opens in 2012.

On December 7, 2009, hundreds of people gathered to celebrate an exciting milestone as the highest steel beam was raised 400 feet onto the top of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Speakers at the event included Ann Lurie, Governor Pat Quinn, Mayor and Mrs. Daley, and leaders from Children’s Memoria...l Hospital and Northwestern University. The “Topping Off” celebration paid tribute to more than 1,300 construction workers on-site since April of 2008.
